Pet day

Hello bloggers. Today i'm going to tell you about the pet day we are having today. We are doing all sorts things that are based on pets.

The things that you need to do is create a veggie sculpture or a sand saucer.
And you get to bring a a real life pet if you have permission.
The best part is the hobby horses. there cool because you
get to race on them.
There is going to be a big parade at the end of school for the judging.

Zones For Athlectics

HELLO, Blogger today I will be telling you about Zones for Athletics. I was really happy that I got into zones because it was hard to get in. Everyone had to be at school by 8.30, luckily I was there in time. When we got to brook side park everyone noticed that not one school didn't have a gazebo, except for us, which was annoying because it was burning hot. Since I was only doing two things for zones, I had to wait until was going to be time.

Wearable arts is nearly finished!!!!!!!

Hello,bloggers. Today I will be telling you about how the year 5s and 6s(including me) are nearly finished OUR WEARABLE ARTS!!!!!!!. This is good news because when we are finished, we get to pefrome in front of our whole school. That might sound a bit scary but if you think about

it would be EPIC.

So we only get one more day to finish everything so there is a bit of pressure. 

Hooked on books week

Hello,Blogger today I will be telling you about our amazing hooked on books week that we've this week. It was really interesting because there were so man new books that we've never heard about . The most interesting book was called the Liars, it's about this who created his own liar detective app on his phone and this brown Ute nearly kills him and his dad.

It was so heart stopping but good as well.

Youthline came to our school

Hello,blogger today i will be telling you about youth line coming to our school. This guy called Ta ma Taught us about these four animals, golden retriever, beaver, otter and Lion. Each animal    stood for a behavior. Lions behavior stood for bossy, otter was the fun way, beaver was rage and golden r was peaceful. Even though the meeting was quite long Ta ma was very funny, which was good.

Also he taught us about helping other, dumping dumb choices and more. The lesson was very inspiring helpful and I enjoyed him coming. And he was the funnest person I've met. because he was joking around.I hope you enjoyed our blog thanks.

Another free writing

Hello again, Bloggers I will be telling you about another free writing I've been doing here it is people

A few months ago It was a nice morning when I woke up,when i got out of bed My dad had a surprise for me. He said “i've got some news louis were both going go karting together” .I was so shocked that we were going go karting together because i had never been go karting before so that's why i was so shocked.

Dad told me to get ready because we were going to go now, in about five minutes I was ready to hit the road. The drive was a long drive, In fact it was so long that we were still one hour away from our destination.

That’s why I took a nap because if I did  I would be there before I knew It. Dad woke me up and said to me “were here”. I got out of the car yawning, but my beady eyes awakened when I saw the epic go kart I asked dad”Are these the ones that were riding in”  he replied “yes I got the luxury pack for us” .The coach gave us some Sports cloths we got into the karts. Even though it was raining we were still both so pumped about this.

Some other guys came in and  apparently we are racing them.They got into the karts just when the light turned green. I stepped on my pedal just like Dad did and the other guys did the same.I was in 3rd place, and my dad was in 1st place. I  sped past Racer 1 which made me in 2nd place. The race finished and I had a great day and I wish I could do it again sometime I got a prize and it was a good one. It was a ping pong bat. It was a great time when we did that I really wanted to do it again

Athletics DAY!!!!!!!!

HELLO, BLOGGERS. Today I will be telling you guys about our athletics day. What I will be telling you about is the long write that I wrote about athletics

Today I was so pumped because we had.  . . . .ATHLETICS YAY. So the first minute I got to school I asked every one of my friends if they were excited about Athletics They all nodded.

When the bell rang I rushed to the matt to see what we were doing We were doing inquiry first though. Even though we were doing inquiry before Athletics Inquiry was still quite fun.

Finally, once inquiry finished we got our hat, drink bottle (of course) And started our first event which was the long jump. The long jump isn’t my favourite event but I was quite good at it.

We started off in a line to get ready for Corbin's jump, it took a while to measure the jumps. When it was Corbin's jump he ran so fast and threw himself into the pit. He got 2M.37, his jump was okay. Then it was my turn, I did exactly what Cobrin did and threw myself into the pit I got a 2M.95.

The requirement to get zones was 3M. I was so close To getting to zones Only three people went to zones And those three people weren’t me. It was alive tom

And Corbin. We next moved into discus, My least favourite sport. Corbin got the highest of all which was 11M.31 with a 1KG disc which is brilliant.

Aliz’e got second highest Which was 9M.63 Which is still good. Then we did shotput My Second Favorite event. I got third in the shot put and my score was 5M.48. Sam tied with Alize with their score of 6M.10. After

that We did sprints.

I came 4th in every race Which is okay, I guess. Once again Alize came first in every race, which isn’t a surprise to me. Sam And Corbin And tom were neck and neck but in the end, sam and Corbin kept getting 2nd and 3rd.

Then we had a lunch break. I met up with Alvin and we had a play with him until the bell rang. When the bell rang I lined up to the high jump we started of from left and right. Left went first(which) I was in. the first person in left to go was me.

I started running did the first jump without failing. Without wanting to spoil the story you can see what's happening here. FAIL THE JUMP+DON'T DO IT RIGHT ANYWAY=DISQUALIFIED. It was down to the last two people, me and Jonathan. The pole was up to 1M. We both completed that jump. Then it was 1M.04.

We did, and Jonathan went first, he started running then the next part happened in slo-mo, he jumped up into the air and hit the pole with his legs. Jonathan drops like a rock.  . . . Jonathan gets up, also, by the looks of it looks like he's okay. It was my turn after that It was my turn I started running jumped as high as I can and completed the jump.

Once upon a time, There was this sheep called Bennett that has always wanted to fly. He always wanted to fly so he could see everything In the whole wide world,well at least he thought he could see the whole world in his mind. But the other sheep thought flying was a dumb idea because it was a myth for sheep to fly. But he didn’t care what the other sheep thought. When it was time for bed bennet sneaked out of his cabin went to a scientist hide and asked him how to make himself fly.

Boy under water book

Hello, Bloggers today I will be telling you about our classes book that we are reading. It's called Boy Underwater. It's about a boy called Cymbeline Igloo that has never been in a pool or ocean, not even once. Another boy called Billy has challenged Cymbeline Igloo to a swimming race so  Cymbeline Igloo is pretending to be sick in front of his mun so he doesn't have to race Billy. Cymbeline Igloo mother made him stay the night before so she could tire him. This is my favourite part. We've only been reading the book for two days I m really enjoying it!

Sci-Fi Writing

Hi another post again. Anyways I'm doing A post about my Sci-Fi writing. What we have to do is write a story about Sci-Fi And there usually a guide On the first two slides. And on the guide Is stuff that can lead you to being In Sci-Fi writing successful.

Wearable arts

Hi For the rest of this term and some of this term we are going to be creating Wearable arts costumes made out of materials like wool and stuff like that. here is a pictures of one. And the coolest part this going to be happening is were performing in front our whole  school.

our new programe that we did

hi, guys two days ago we did a new programme that's called flipsnack and It's kind of like piktochart but different. What we were doing was that we had to create a Maori days of the week thing and show what the meanings are of the Maori days of the week. And the cool thing that you could do was make it as a flipbook. it was quite but I was enjoying it until we had to stop doing it.

No 3 in a line

A week ago my whole class did an investigation into no three in a line. what we had to do is make a line that didn't have three in a row it was quite hard but I got the hang of it 

my inquiry learning

Today our whole class have been working on inquiry for the last one and a half weeks and today we did our own mini-inquiry and it was very hard. and it was hard because I

 have never done inquiry before. I brainstormed a lot and I used a concept map for my inquiry. there was a lot to do but it was quite fun as well and I got the hang of it.

Hi, I am Louis and today I am going talk to you about the eco-trip we had on Wednesday. So when we got to the eco-drop we went into this room where Chris was going to talk to us about everything we need to know about things that need to go into the right bin and the stuff that gets broken down into. after that Chris told us about the 5r's and they were reused reduce recycle recover
